Bobby Livingston grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended Boston University where he excelled in rooting for his beloved Boston Red Sox. He dreamed of becoming a filmmaker and that is what led him to California where he began his career in film.
While in Hollywood Livingston worked on a number of feature films including "La Bamba", "Ernest Goes to Camp" and a trailer for "Malcolm X".
Then, after eleven years of distinguished work in California, Livingston moved to San Antonio in 1993 to become president of Shootz Production Group.
Within three years, Shootz became nationally known as one of South Texas's most creative and successful production companies.
Led by his innovative directorial work on public service documentaries, Livingston won several prestigious national awards for his hard-hitting films about rape, eating disorders and domestic violence. His most recent project, "Tina's Story", about incest, earned both local, national and international recognition.
Four of Livingston's films have aired nationally on PBS. In 2001, the San Antonio Business Journal named Livingston a "Rising Star."
Livingston is widely known for the creative concepts he brings to all of his productions. Corporate clients, who universally praise his work, include Broadway Bank, Cavender Chevrolet, City Public Service, Clear Channel Radio, The Texas Open, Valero & Diamond Shamrock, and VIA (San Antonio's Metro Bus System) among others. His work for corporate clients earned him numerous ADDY's over the years.
Nonprofit clients for whom he has produced award-winning films include Any Baby Can, The Rape Crisis Center, Jewish Family & Children's Service, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the San Antonio Bar Foundation.
In 2006, Livingston became Creative Director for the Architectural Marketing giant Virtual Solutions. Now Livingston has founded his own production company - Livingston Films - to pursue his dream of making documentaries and feature films while continuing his work on behalf of commercial clients.
